Makeup I Brought with Me to the Cottage
Annnd que the relaxation!
Hi lovelies & Happy Monday! And to all of my Canadian girlies, Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm just back from a weekend away at the cottage and boy, do I feel like a new woman. I also think this was the first time I've gone away and packed SO little (and if that doesn't deserve a gold star OR a new lippie, then I don't know what does)!
Anyways, I thought I would share the essentials that I packed for the weekend!
Nudestix Nudescreen Daily Mineral Veil SPF 30 (in the shade "Tan")
Any chance I get to express my love for this product, you best believe I will. As someone who doesn't like to wear foundation, the fact that this product is the perfect amount of coverage AND provides SPF protection, I'm in.
The Inkey List Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser
If you aren't using The Inkey List, then what are you doing?! Their products are:
- high quality
- cruelty free and vegan
- fragrance free
- carbon net zero
- pregnancy & breastfeeding safe
- INCREDIBLY affordable (a 150mL bottle is $12 CAD)
annnnd the list goes on! The Hyaluronic Acid Cleanser is one of my favs as it's incredibly moisturizing, effortlessly removes makeup and leaves the skin looking (and feeling) healthy!
LB Pout Glow Lip Oil in "Coconut"
Let's be honest, did I pack 15 lip products? Heck ya!
Did I use any of them? Heck no!
These little lip oils haven't left my side over the last few weeks because they smell divine, are incredibly hydrating & moisturizing, and leave the lips looking plump & juicy. They're the perfect addition to any no makeup makeup look!
I'm in my faux freckle era and I don't think I'll ever not be freckle faced. It just adds a little extra something to any look + what says sunkissed more than some little freckles?!
Summer Friday's Butter Balm in "Pink Sugar"
The hold that this specific Lip Butter Balm has on me is out of this world. Not only does it smell divine, but it is SO moisturizing and provides the most stunning wash of baby pink to the lips. I especially love applying these Butter Balms before bed.
Amika The Kure Intense Bond Repair Hair Mask
Never have I ever...used more hair masks in the last few months than I have in my 35 years on the planet and BOY do I notice a difference. I've gotten the habit of lathering my locks in this Amika hair mask once a week and I cannot believe the difference I've seen in my hair health. It's shinier, smoother and she's growing!!! As someone who's absolutely not applying heat to my hair during a weekend at the cottage, I've slicked on this mask and put it in a top knot and called it a day...or 3.
The Ordinary Multi-Peptide Lash & Brow Serum
And from another incredibly affordable, MUST HAVE brand, is the Lash & Brow Serum from The Ordinary. For anyone spending $100+ on a lash serum, this $17 CAD one from The Ordinary...ACTUALLY works! I apply this little serum to my brows and lash line before bed and over the last few months of using it, have seen a huge difference in my lashes especially
The fact that I packed the tiniest little makeup bag with me and still managed to have ALL of my essentials with me is mind blowing!
What are your weekend away musthaves?!
Hope you have THE best week!
Until next time,
